Ubaid Shah, Naseem's Brother, Debuts for Pakistan in West Indies Decider
The 20-year-old quick is among two debutants for Pakistan in the series-deciding second Test in Port of Spain.
Ubaid Shah, the youngest of the Shah siblings, has earned his first international cap for Pakistan. The 20-year-old was named in the playing XI for the second Test against West Indies in Port of Spain on Sunday, one of four changes to the side and one of two debutants in the match.
Born in Lower Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in February 2006, Ubaid progressed through Pakistan's domestic circuit and the Under-19 national team. He has also represented three different franchises in the Pakistan Super League, gaining valuable experience at a young age.
Ubaid was a standout performer in the 2024 Under-19 World Cup, where Pakistan reached the semifinals. He claimed 18 wickets in just six innings at an average of 12.38, finishing as the joint second-highest wicket-taker of the tournament and Pakistan's leading bowler.
