Fakhar Zaman delivered a record-filled 127 from 99 balls for Pakistan in the Tri-Series final against Sri Lanka on October 31, 2026. His innings contained 11 fours and six sixes and kept Pakistan in pursuit of a 326-run target. Dilshan Madushanka removed him in the 34th over, but by then Fakhar had already reached his 12th ODI hundred and reshaped several entries in Pakistan's ODI record book.

Fakhar passed 4,000 ODI runs in only 96 innings. Among Pakistani batters, only Babar Azam has got there in fewer innings, with 82, while Mohammad Yousuf needed 110. The century also gave Fakhar a fourth ODI hundred as an opener on home soil, drawing him level with Salman Butt at the top of that particular list. Kamran Akmal and Saeed Anwar each have three.

His 12 ODI centuries place him fourth among Pakistan's leading century-makers. Babar Azam and Saeed Anwar share the top mark with 20 each, followed by Mohammad Yousuf on 15. Fakhar's effort against Sri Lanka therefore stood out both for its pace and for the milestones it brought during a high-scoring final.
