Harmanpreet's 41-Ball 91* Seals Emotional Return to Form
The former India captain broke down mid-innings after her blistering knock powered the hosts to a towering total in Raipur.

Harmanpreet Kaur produced a stirring reminder of her batting prowess in the third T20I against Zimbabwe in Raipur, smashing an unbeaten 91 off only 41 deliveries. Walking in at 68 for 2 in the eighth over, the 37-year-old took charge at number four and helped lift India Women to 216 for 7 across their 20 overs.
Her stay at the crease featured 10 fours and five sixes, and the knock brought up her 19th T20I fifty and a 20th score of 50 or more in the format. It was also her first meaningful contribution with the bat since she gave up the national captaincy earlier this month, following the 2026 Asian Games gold medal in Japan.
The weight of that moment appeared to catch up with her during the mid-innings break, when she became tearful while talking to broadcast commentators about the innings. Kaur thanked a man she referred to as "Himanshu bhaiya" for his support and devoted the performance to him.
Fans responded with an outpouring of sympathy online, with one supporter saying the sight of her crying was heartbreaking and hoping she receives kinder treatment going forward. Kaur's tenure as skipper included a home World Cup triumph in 2025 and the Asia Cup 2026 crown in the UAE.
