Report: IPL 2027 Mini Auction Set for Goa on December 16
Franchises have reportedly been told to prepare for a December 16, 2026 mini auction in Goa, though formal BCCI confirmation is still awaited.
A Cricbuzz report indicates that the IPL 2027 mini auction is expected to be held on December 16, 2026, with Goa chosen as the host city for all ten franchises. The information has reportedly reached teams through the BCCI’s logistics team rather than a formal governing council email.
Several franchises are said to have received a message intended to help with travel and accommodation planning for Goa. A formal announcement confirming the date and venue is still expected from the BCCI.
The reported BCCI WhatsApp note states that the IPL 2026 Player Auction will take place on December 16, 2026, at ITC Grand Goa, with an auction briefing scheduled for December 15, 2026. The governing council has not yet sent an official email confirming these details.
Further updates are awaited as franchises prepare for the event based on the logistical communication.
