Alzarri Joseph's recent performances in the Caribbean Premier League suggest he is ready to re-enter the IPL auction conversation. The Antigua and Barbuda Falcons bowler currently sits second on the CPL 2026 wicket list, claiming 14 dismissals in eight innings at an average of 17.14. His strike rate of 11.14 also places him among the most effective bowlers in the tournament, eclipsed only by Joshua James among those with a qualifying number of overs.
Joseph's previous IPL stints with Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru were marked by flashes of brilliance rather than consistency. In 22 appearances, he has taken 21 wickets at a costly average of 32.90, with an economy rate of 9.55. That erratic record explains why he has not played in India's T20 league for the past two seasons. But his current form indicates a more measured approach, particularly with the new ball.
During the powerplay, Joseph has been at his most dangerous, collecting seven wickets at just over six per over, while his middle-overs work has yielded three wickets at an economy of six runs per over. Even in the death overs, he has chipped in with four wickets, though at a higher cost.
