England Name Unchanged Squad for Final Pakistan Test

England have unveiled their 15-man squad for the third Test against Pakistan, beginning September 9 at Edgbaston, Birmingham. With the series already sealed at 2-0 after wins at Headingley and Lord’s, the hosts are aiming for a whitewash. The squad remains largely identical to the one that featured in the second Test, with seamer Matthew Fisher the only player not retained.
Joe Root continues as captain, with the selectors opting for continuity. Recalled players include Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Sonny Baker, Shoaib Bashir, Harry Brook, Sam Cook, Jordan Cox, Ben Duckett, Emilio Gay, Dan Lawrence, Ollie Pope, Ollie Robinson, Jamie Smith, and Josh Tongue.
Fast bowler Brydon Carse is once again omitted following the handcuff incident that surfaced from a night out in Derby. He was pulled from England’s second Test squad but returned to county action for Durham and took four wickets. Despite that, selectors have again left him out, keeping the team focused on the series finale without any distraction.
