Usman Khawaja Dismisses PCB's Lord's Test Boycott Threat as 'Joke'

Usman Khawaja has ridiculed the Pakistan Cricket Board's attempt to pressure Sky Sports over an interview with Imran Khan's sons. The former Australian batter took to social media to express his disbelief, calling the board's reaction a mockery after it threatened to pull players off the field during the Lord's Test.

The interview featured Imran's sons, Sulaiman and Kasim, who raised serious concerns about their father's health and living conditions in Adilabad prison. They alleged that the 73-year-old former prime minister has lost significant vision in one eye and spends over 23 hours a day alone in a cramped cell, with limited access to books and other basic amenities.

According to reports, the PCB lodged a formal complaint with the broadcaster and hinted that Pakistan's players would not return after lunch if the segment aired. Sky Sports postponed the broadcast, and by the time it concluded, the players were ready to resume play. Khawaja's comments highlight widespread criticism of the board's attempt to suppress the interview.
