Pakistan's Lord's Legacy: Five Wins in 16 Tests

After a heavy defeat in the Headingley opener, Pakistan face England once again at Lord's from Thursday. The pressure is on to level the series, and history offers some encouragement: Pakistan have a surprisingly strong record at this famous ground.
Their first Test at Lord's came in 1954, a drawn match under Abdul Kardar. Since then, Pakistan have faced England there 15 times, winning five and drawing six. Their most recent visit, in 2018, ended in a commanding nine-wicket victory led by Sarfaraz Ahmed.
One notable exception saw Pakistan play Australia at Lord's in 2010, when security concerns prevented a tour of Pakistan. That match ended in a 150-run defeat for Shahid Afridi's side. Combined, Pakistan have played 16 Tests at Lord's, with their five wins and six draws standing as a testament to their resilience on this historic stage.
