Salman Agha Injured in Leeds, Forced Off During First Test
Pakistan's stand-in captain walks off after a finger injury while fielding on day two against England.

Pakistan's stand-in captain Salman Agha was forced to leave the field on day two of the first Test against England at Headingley. The all-rounder hurt his hand while attempting a catch at second slip during the second session. The injury occurred in the 47th over of England's first innings, with Harry Brook at the crease. Agha dived to his right but failed to hold onto a delivery from Khurram Shahzad, and the impact left blood dripping from his finger, prompting him to walk off the field.
This incident adds to Pakistan's captaincy concerns. Regular skipper Babar Azam was already ruled out of this Test after a hand injury in a warm-up match against a county select side last week. Agha was appointed interim captain in Babar's absence, and now he too has been sidelined. Middle-order batter Saud Shakeel has taken over the leadership duties for the remainder of the innings.
The Pakistan team will hope Agha's injury is not severe, as they continue the opening Test in challenging conditions. His departure leaves the visitors short of an experienced all-rounder during England's first innings.
