The Bangladesh Cricket Board has revealed the women's squad that will represent the nation at the ACC Women's Asia Cup 2026 and the 20th Asian Games this year. Nigar Sultana Joty will lead the side, with Nahida Akter as her deputy. The Asia Cup is set for Dubai, while the Asian Games will be hosted in Japan.

Sarmin Sultana makes a comeback to the national setup after being overlooked since May 2026. She replaces Taj Nehar, who was part of the previous World Cup squad. Chief selector Sazzad Ahmed explained that Taj's recent performances were below par, while opener Dilara Akter has struggled with form, prompting the selection of an additional opener.

The 15-member squad includes experienced campaigners like Ritu Moni, Marufa Akter, and Fariha Trishna, with Shorna Akter retaining her spot after match-winning innings in the T20 World Cup. Sobhana Mostary and Juairiya Ferdous remain key members of the core group, giving Bangladesh a balanced blend of youth and experience for the two major tournaments.
