The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has officially unveiled the schedule for the upcoming T20I series against India, which will be played entirely at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi from September 13 to 17. This three-match rubber marks a unique occasion as India, typically the host, will be the designated away team on home soil.

Afghanistan holds the hosting rights for the series, as India is one of their approved home venues, along with the UAE. This arrangement is not new, as Afghanistan has previously played 'home' fixtures in India, including a white-ball series against Ireland in 2017 and an all-format series against West Indies in 2019. The teams last met in a Test and three ODIs earlier this year, but that contest was hosted by India.

All three T20Is—scheduled for September 13, 15, and 17—will take place at the iconic venue in the capital. The series is part of both teams' preparations ahead of the 2027 World Cup cycle, and promises to be a competitive contest between two emerging cricketing nations.
