Brydon Carse is back in action and already making an impact. After nearly three months out with a hand injury that cost him IPL 2026 and the New Zealand Tests, the seamer has returned to competitive cricket with Sunrisers Leeds in The Hundred 2026. He leads the side's wicket charts and has shown he can still trouble batters at the highest level.
In six appearances this season, Carse has claimed eight wickets at an average of 23.37 and an economy of 9.35. His best spell came against Birmingham Phoenix, where he grabbed three scalps. He had earlier warmed up with Durham in the T20 Blast, taking four wickets in three games. Combined across formats, he has 12 wickets in nine innings, with a strike rate of 15.50.
Carse's value lies in his skill during the powerplay and middle overs. He moves the ball away from right-handers at pace, hits hard lengths, and generates extra bounce.
