The Indian domestic circuit is set for a busy start with the Duleep Trophy beginning August 23 and the Ranji Trophy following on October 11. Ahead of these tournaments, a flurry of player transfers has reshaped several state squads, as experienced campaigners seek fresh opportunities after receiving No-Objection Certificates from their previous associations.

Left-arm spinner Dharmendrasinh Jadeja has ended his 13-year association with Saurashtra and is expected to turn out for Chhattisgarh in the 2026-27 season. The 36-year-old leaves with an impressive 401 first-class wickets at an average of 26.11 from 100 matches, including a career-best 7/32. A key member of Saurashtra's Ranji Trophy-winning sides in 2019-20 and 2022-23, his experience and leadership will be a significant addition to Chhattisgarh's attack.

Other notable moves see Odisha sign pacer Lalit Yadav from Vidarbha and all-rounder Ninad Rathva from Baroda, both set to feature as professionals in the upcoming season. Meanwhile, Rajneesh Gurbani has returned to Vidarbha after a stint with Maharashtra. These transfers are expected to intensify competition and add depth across the country.
