ICC Finalises 12 Venues for 2027 Cricket World Cup
South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia to co-host the tournament, with eight venues in South Africa.
The International Cricket Council has confirmed the 12 stadiums that will host the 2027 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup. The tournament, set to take place across South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia, marks the return of the ODI showpiece to Africa for the first time in 24 years. South Africa will host the majority of matches at eight venues, while Zimbabwe contributes three grounds and Namibia one.
The iconic Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg will stage both the opening ceremony and the final, replicating its role from the 2003 edition. Other South African venues include Centurion, Newlands, Kingsmead, St George's Park, Mangaung Oval, Boland Park, and Buffalo Park. Zimbabwe's Harare Sports Club and Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, which also featured in 2003, will host matches.
Two venues will make their World Cup debut: the under-construction Fale Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, and the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek. The tournament is scheduled for October and November 2027.
