Stephen Fleming Set to Become England Test Coach

England's search for a new red-ball coach appears to be nearing its end, with Stephen Fleming emerging as the leading candidate. According to reports, the ECB has completed its interview process and is close to finalising Fleming's appointment. He is expected to replace Brendon McCullum, who was dismissed earlier this year after a string of poor performances.

Fleming, who spent over a decade as head coach of Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, beat out several other high-profile contenders for the role, including Richard Dawson, Jonathan Trott, and Tom Moody. Andy Flower withdrew due to franchise commitments, while Justin Langer confirmed he was never approached by the ECB. Fleming is likely to work closely with new captain Harry Brook.
