Shreyas Iyer Confirms Prince Yadav's Injury Exit for Final T20I
India's T20I captain Shreyas Iyer revealed that pacer Prince Yadav will miss the third match after suffering a hamstring injury in the previous game.
India sealed the T20I series against Zimbabwe with a commanding 90-run victory in the second match, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead. However, the win was marred by an injury to promising pacer Prince Yadav, who pulled up with a hamstring strain during his bowling spell in the seventh over and had to leave the field.
Speaking after the match, Indian skipper Shreyas Iyer confirmed that Yadav would be sidelined for the final dead rubber on July 26. Iyer also hinted at potential changes in the playing XI, saying, "One of our players got injured unfortunately, so you might see a few changes tomorrow." The team management is likely to bring in Ashok Sharma as a like-for-like replacement for the young speedster.
Prince Yadav has been impressive since his debut, picking up three wickets in two T20Is against Afghanistan earlier this year and maintaining consistent performances against Ireland, England, and now Zimbabwe. In the ongoing series, he has already claimed four wickets in two matches, establishing himself as a key asset for the future.
