Ishan Kishan Blasts 81, Leads Indian Wicketkeepers in Zimbabwe T20Is
The left-handed batter surpassed Sanju Samson, MS Dhoni, and Robin Uthappa for the highest T20I score by an Indian wicketkeeper in Zimbabwe.
Ishan Kishan roared back into form with a blistering 81 off 44 balls against Zimbabwe in the second T20I in Harare. The attacking left-hander smashed nine fours and two sixes, sharing vital partnerships with captain Shreyas Iyer and Tilak Varma to help India cross the 200-run mark.
Despite falling short of a century, Kishan etched his name in the record books. His knock is now the highest individual score by an Indian wicketkeeper in T20Is played in Zimbabwe, surpassing Sanju Samson, Robin Uthappa, and former captain MS Dhoni. Samson remains the only other Indian wicketkeeper to score a T20I fifty in Zimbabwe.
