Tim David Accuses Usman Tariq of Chucking in The Hundred
The Australian batter questioned the legality of the Pakistan spinner's delivery after getting dismissed in Birmingham.
Tim David, the Royal Challengers Bangalore star playing for Trent Rockets in The Hundred, has openly accused Pakistan spinner Usman Tariq of chucking during a match on Tuesday. The incident occurred when David was dismissed by Tariq while chasing a daunting target of 215 runs at Edgbaston.
David nicked a full delivery outside off stump to wicketkeeper Joe Clarke after scoring just two runs. The Australian then suggested that the delivery should have been called a no-ball for an illegal action, indirectly urging the umpires to intervene.
This is not the first time Tariq's action has been questioned. Earlier this year, Cameron Green mimicked the spinner's style after his dismissal. Indian fans and players, including captain Suryakumar Yadav, have also raised concerns. Despite the scrutiny, the International Cricket Council has cleared Tariq's action.
