Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been named in India's squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series in Zimbabwe. The 15-year-old was dropped from the playing XI for the fifth T20I against England earlier this month but could return following Sanju Samson's rest. However, when asked during a press conference, captain Shreyas Iyer avoided giving a clear update on Sooryavanshi's place in the team.

Iyer, who arrived from England a day earlier, said he had only briefly discussed combinations with coach Gautam Gambhir. He mentioned that the team would finalize plans by evening, but offered no specifics on Sooryavanshi's involvement. The skipper also addressed advice for younger players, noting that they had a decent break after the England series and likely used it to correct their mistakes.

"Personally, I do not need to give them much advice, because they must have already learned much in England," Iyer said. He added that he would explain if asked, but emphasized that this was his first time in Zimbabwe and he too needed to adapt quickly.
