The second season of the Asian Legends League will see arch-rivals India and Pakistan face off on August 2 in Lusaka, Zambia.
The Asian Legends League is returning for a second season, bringing together retired cricket stars from across the continent. The tournament will kick off on July 30 in Lusaka, Zambia, with six teams competing: Indian Royals, Asian Stars, Sri Lankan Lions, Bangladesh Tigers, Afghanistan Pathans, and Pakistan Panthers. The 15 league matches will lead into a knockout stage, culminating in the final on August 10.
A highlight of the event is the scheduled clash between India and Pakistan on August 2. This comes amid heightened tensions following the 2025 Asia Cup, where players refused to shake hands and the PCB chief was involved in a trophy controversy. In a previous legends tournament, the Indian team withdrew from a match against Pakistan, but their participation in the ALL remains confirmed for now.
The Indian Royals will be led by World Cup winner Yusuf Pathan, with notable players like Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik, Harbhajan Singh, and Shahbaz Nadeem in the squad. The tournament promises to rekindle one of cricket's fiercest rivalries on a new stage.
