Jasprit Bumrah turned heads with the bat in the second ODI against England, scoring an unbeaten 20 off just 13 balls at number 10. His late blitz lifted India from a precarious 210-8 to a competitive 233 in Cardiff, outscoring several frontline batters.
Bumrah reserved his best for England pacers yet again, taking 18 of his runs off one Saqib Mahmood over. He struck three consecutive fours and a six, finishing with three boundaries and a maximum overall. The cameo included a crucial 23-run stand with Shreyas Iyer and saw Bumrah reach 100 ODI runs.
Despite boasting an average of 7.58 in ODIs and 6.63 across formats, Bumrah has consistently raised his game with the bat in England. He previously played a match-winning partnership with Mohammad Shami at Lord's in 2021 and cracked 35 runs in Birmingham in 2022.
