Kranti Gaud etched her name into cricket history by becoming the youngest Indian woman pacer to take a five-wicket haul in Test cricket. The 22-year-old debutant achieved the milestone during the only Test against England at Lord's, finishing with figures of 5/37 from 17 overs, including seven maidens.

Gaud's spell dismantled England's batting lineup, restricting them to 170 in response to India's 285. She struck early, removing Tammy Beaumont and Maia Bouchier, and later dismissed key batters Nat Sciver-Brunt, Alice Capsey, and Lauren Bell. Her performance secured a 115-run victory for India.

At 22 years and 334 days, Gaud surpassed Jhulan Goswami (23 years) to claim the record among Indian women pacers. Only England's Isa Guha has taken a Test fifer at a younger age among all women pacers worldwide. Gaud's feat also earned her a place on the Lord's Honours Board.
