Jos Buttler Equals MS Dhoni's Six-Hitting Record in Bristol T20I
England's wicketkeeper-batter hit his 359th six to match the legendary Indian's unique milestone.
Jos Buttler entered the record books during the fourth T20I against India in Bristol by equalling a mark held by MS Dhoni. Despite a short innings, the England star smashed a six off Arshdeep Singh to reach 359 sixes as a wicketkeeper-batter, drawing level with the former India captain.
Buttler scored eight runs off eight balls before edging behind off Arshdeep's next delivery. His milestone came in the third over when he launched a full delivery over long-on for a maximum. The wicketkeeper-batter now shares the top spot with Dhoni, ahead of Quinton de Kock (300), Adam Gilchrist (259), and Brendon McCullum (208).
This series has been challenging for Buttler, who managed only 44 runs in three innings before this match. India set a target of 159 after a modest batting performance earlier in the evening.
