Pratika Rawal Ruled Out of England Test; Priya Punia Named Replacement
India women's head coach Amol Muzumdar confirmed the injury blow and announced Punia as the replacement.

Pratika Rawal has been ruled out of the one-off Test against England Women at Lord's due to an injury. Head coach Amol Muzumdar confirmed the news during a press conference on Wednesday. The BCCI has named Priya Punia as her replacement.
Rawal, who has not played an international match since India's tour of Australia earlier this year, scored 81 runs in her only Test appearance against Australia in Perth. She recently featured for India A against England A in limited-overs matches.
Priya Punia last played for India in December 2024. The right-handed batter has 12 ODIs and three T20Is to her name. If she makes the playing XI, it will be her Test debut and her return to international cricket after nearly a year.
The updated India squad for the Test: Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Smriti Mandhana (vc), Yastika Bhatia (wk), Shree Charani, Harleen Deol, Kranti Gaud, Richa Ghosh (wk), Sneh Rana, Priya Punia, Jemimah Rodrigues, Sayali Satghare, Deepti Sharma, Nandani Sharma, Renuka Singh, and Shafali Verma.
