India's Lowest T20I Totals: A Look at Their Worst Batting Disasters
Despite being T20I champions, India has suffered humiliating batting collapses, with three infamous low scores detailed here.

India's dominant T20I batting lineup has occasionally faltered, posting some of their lowest totals in the format. One such collapse occurred in July 2026 against England in Nottingham, but history shows several earlier capitulations.
In October 2015, India managed only 92 against South Africa in Cuttack. MS Dhoni's side was undone by early wickets from Kagiso Rabada and Chris Morris, with Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina combining for 44 runs and extras contributing 11. Only two other batters reached double figures as India fell to a six-wicket defeat.
A dead rubber in Colombo in July 2021 saw India post 81-8 after securing the series 2-0. Kuldeep Yadav top-scored with an unbeaten 23, while Wanindu Hasaranga's 4-9 wrecked the innings. In the 2016 T20 World Cup, India were bowled out for 79 against New Zealand in Nagpur, failing to chase 127. Jasprit Bumrah and Suresh Raina had restricted the Kiwis, but the batting crumbled.
