Abhishek Sharma Breaks Six-Hitting Record Despite Early Dismissal in 3rd T20I
The Indian opener's 28th six against England takes him past Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in T20Is.

Abhishek Sharma achieved a new milestone in the third T20I against England at Trent Bridge despite a brief stay at the crease. The young opener smashed a towering six off Josh Tongue, bringing up his 28th maximum against England β the most by any Indian in T20Is, surpassing Hardik Pandya's previous record of 27.
The six came off a full toss from Tongue, which Abhishek guided over deep point. The record also places him ahead of legends Virat Kohli (19 sixes), Rohit Sharma (18) and Suryakumar Yadav (18) in the list of most sixes by an Indian against England in the format.
However, Abhishek's innings was short-lived. He fell soon after to the same bowler, Tongue, caught at deep point by Phil Salt. The delivery, a back-of-length ball at 143 km/h, bounced more than expected, forcing Abhishek to slice it high in the air. Despite the early exit, his six-hitting feat was the highlight of India's chase of England's 201, built on Phil Salt's 70 off 44 balls.
