Australia secured their seventh T20 World Cup title by defeating hosts England in a one-sided final on July 5 at Lord's. Beth Mooney starred with an unbeaten 64 off 49 balls to lead her team to victory with seven wickets and three overs to spare.
After the match, Mooney was awarded Player of the Match for the second time in a final, having previously won the honor in the 2023 edition. She also became the first player to be named Player of the Tournament in two separate T20 World Cups, having first achieved the feat in 2020. Mooney finished the tournament as the leading run-scorer with 238 runs in seven matches.
