PCB to Unveil Central Contracts for 45 Players Before West Indies Tour
Pakistan's cricket board will issue new specialization-based contracts with a record budget of PKR 1100 million.

The Pakistan Cricket Board is finalizing a new set of central contracts for its players, set to be announced just before the team's Test series in the West Indies. Approximately 45 cricketers will receive these deals, which will follow a fresh structure based on specialization rather than the traditional alphabetical categories.
Under the new system, players will be grouped into categories AB, A, B, and C, reflecting their roles across red-ball and white-ball formats. For instance, those in the top AB category will earn PKR 1.5 million per Test and PKR 750,000 per ODI, while T20I players in the same tier will get PKR 500,000.
The PCB has allocated a substantial budget of PKR 1.1 billion for these contracts, signaling a significant financial commitment to its players. This move aims to reward performers across formats and streamline the contract process ahead of the upcoming international engagements.
