Teen Sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Shatters Tendulkar, Kohli Records on Debut
At 15 years and 99 days, Sooryavanshi becomes India's youngest cricketer and surpasses legends with two sixes in his T20I debut.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made history during his T20I debut for India against England in Manchester, despite a brief stay at the crease. The 15-year-old opener was dismissed for 14 runs off 10 balls but managed to outshine his illustrious predecessors, Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, in one key aspect.
Sooryavanshi smashed two sixes, one each off Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue, before being stumped by Will Jacks. This feat puts him ahead of Tendulkar, who hit no sixes in his solitary T20I, and Kohli, who managed only one maximum on his debut. At 15 years and 99 days, he is also the youngest Indian to play international cricket and the second-youngest men's cricketer globally, after Pakistan's Hasan Raza.
While his score was modest, Sooryavanshi's power hitting has drawn comparisons to the greats. He now shares the record for most sixes on T20I debut by an Indian, with two, alongside Ashish Nehra. Ishan Kishan leads the list with four sixes.
