Moises Henriques Switches to Portugal Ahead of T20 World Cup Qualifiers
The Australian all-rounder becomes the latest in a list of cricketers who have represented two nations.

Moises Henriques, the 39-year-old Australian all-rounder, has decided to change his international allegiance from Australia to Portugal, his birth nation. He will represent Portugal in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2028 qualifiers. Henriques last played for Australia in 2021 and has since struggled for selection.
Henriques played 44 matches for Australia across formats, though his international career was modest. He was more successful in domestic cricket, winning multiple titles. With limited opportunities for the national team, Henriques opted to switch, making Portugal a stronger side.
He joins a select group of players who have represented two countries in international cricket. Notable examples include Billy Midwinter (Australia and England), Billy Murdoch (Australia and England), and John Ferris (Australia and England), among others.
