RCB Mentor Dinesh Karthik Backs Gambhir's Call to Bench Sooryavanshi

Dinesh Karthik, the Royal Challengers Bangalore mentor and batting coach, has sided with India head coach Gautam Gambhir's decision to bench young opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. This has sparked a fresh debate among fans who have been demanding Sooryavanshi's inclusion after his stellar form.

Sooryavanshi, who impressed with a century in the IND-A tri-series against Sri Lanka, has been warming the bench during the UK tour. Fans have criticized Gambhir for persisting with Sanju Samson, who has managed only 6 runs in his last three T20I innings, instead of giving the 15-year-old a chance.

Despite the outcry, Karthik believes it is too early to make a change. "Sanju Samson has had a bit of a failure again, but he was the player of the tournament in the World Cup.
