Former England cricketer David Lloyd has urged the England and Wales Cricket Board to consider Sachin Tendulkar as the next head coach of the national team. Speaking on the Stick to Cricket podcast alongside ex-England captain Michael Vaughan, Lloyd proposed that the Indian legend could replace the under-fire Brendon McCullum.

Lloyd believes Tendulkar's vast knowledge of the game makes him an ideal candidate. He said, "You know Sachin Tendulkar? You keep in touch with him. There might be a job going. He's the man. Bring him in. Not finished and he knows the game."

The call comes after England's 1-2 series defeat to New Zealand at home, their second consecutive series loss following the Ashes drubbing in Australia. With captain Ben Stokes retiring from international cricket, McCullum's position is under scrutiny despite a contract extension. The 'BazBall' era, once celebrated for its aggressive approach, has struggled against top sides like Australia and India.
