Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Set for Debut in India's First T20I Against England
The young batter is likely to replace Sanju Samson as India look to bounce back from their Ireland series defeat.

India are expected to hand a debut to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in the opening T20I against England on Wednesday. The Men in Blue are desperate for a turnaround after a disappointing series loss to Ireland, and the selectors seem ready to inject fresh blood into the top order. Sanju Samson, who managed only five runs in two innings, is likely to make way for the uncapped talent.
Abhishek Sharma, who showed promise with a quickfire 49 in the first match against Ireland but fell for a duck in the second, is set to open alongside Sooryavanshi. Ishan Kishan, despite a modest 13 runs in the previous series, is expected to retain his spot as wicketkeeper-batter. Skipper Shreyas Iyer will anchor the middle order at number four, with Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, and all-rounder Suryavansh Shedge completing the core.
