Taijul Islam Reaches 300 International Wickets with 7-Wicket Haul
The left-arm spinner becomes the sixth Bangladeshi to achieve the milestone during the only Test against Zimbabwe.

Taijul Islam's seven-wicket haul on day two of the only Test against Zimbabwe propelled him into an elite group of Bangladesh bowlers. The left-arm spinner finished with figures of 7 for 116, dismantling Zimbabwe's batting lineup after Innocent Kaia's brilliant 140. This performance took his international wicket tally to 300, making him the sixth Bangladeshi to reach that mark.
Taijul now joins the likes of Shakib Al Hasan, Mashrafe Mortaza, Mustafizur Rahman, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, and Abdur Razzak in the exclusive 300-wicket club. He achieved the feat in 129 innings, bowling over 17,000 deliveries. The spinner's consistent performances across formats have cemented his place among Bangladesh's bowling greats.
With this milestone, Taijul continues to prove his worth as a key weapon for Bangladesh, especially in Test cricket. His endurance and accuracy were on full display as he bowled 40 overs, keeping pressure on Zimbabwe throughout the innings.
