Earlier, Latham's New Zealand had whitewashed India 3-0 in November 2024, a dominant display that saw them bowl out the hosts for just 112 in the final Test. The 151-run knock from Latham in the first innings of the England series set the tone for a historic victory, making New Zealand the first team to win a series in England after losing the opening match.
The exclusive club includes John Goddard, Richie Benaud, Garry Sobers, Clive Lloyd, and Imran Khan. Notably, Australian great Ricky Ponting, despite leading an invincible side, never managed this double, highlighting the rarity of Latham's achievement.
