Abhishek, Samson's Rare Golden Ducks Make History for India
For the first time in India's T20I history, both openers were dismissed for golden ducks in the second match against Ireland.
India's chase of 154 in the second T20I against Ireland got off to a disastrous start as openers Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma both departed for golden ducks. Samson was trapped leg-before on the first ball of the innings, while Abhishek holed out to mid-off in the second over off the bowling of Jai Moondra.
This marked the first instance in India's T20I history where both openers registered ducks without scoring. The collapse left India reeling at 54 for 4 when rain interrupted play. Ireland had earlier posted 154, thanks to a disciplined batting effort, but the target became imposing after India's top-order failure.
