A viral claim that Vaibhav Sooryavanshi liked an Instagram post targeting Shreyas Iyer has been debunked as fake.
Following India's 34-run loss to Ireland in the first T20I, a screenshot circulated on social media suggesting that young opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi had liked a post criticizing captain Shreyas Iyer for dropping him from the playing XI. The post read, “Can you send the highlights of the match that India won by dropping me?”
However, fact-checking reveals the screenshot was digitally altered. Sooryavanshi did not engage with any such post, and there is no credible evidence that he targeted his teammate. The 15-year-old was excluded from the XI as the management opted to give opportunities to other players, as confirmed by Iyer at the toss.
