Dinesh Karthik, Royal Challengers Bengaluru's coach, has placed Virat Kohli among the all-time greats of global sport. He compared the Indian batter to icons like Michael Jordan, Novak Djokovic, and Roger Federer, highlighting Kohli's unmatched stature in cricket.

Karthik shared a key insight into managing Kohli's genius: never interfere with his methods. He explained that as long as Kohli is free to execute his own process, he produces extraordinary performances. Interference, Karthik warned, could disrupt his rhythm.

Kohli's recent IPL numbers back up the praise. In 2025, he scored 657 runs at an average of 54.75 and a strike rate of 144.71. The following season saw him improve further with 675 runs, averaging 56.25 and striking at 165.84. His consistency across formats has cemented his legacy in the league.
