New Zealand suffered another injury blow in the third Test against England at Trent Bridge, with fast bowler Blair Tickner ruled out due to concussion. Tickner was struck on the helmet by a Jofra Archer bouncer while batting at number 10 on Day 2, and later complained of nausea, failing to take the field after tea.

As a concussion substitute, New Zealand have brought in Zak Foulkes, who also missed the first two Tests of the series. Foulkes, who last played Test cricket against Ireland, will now be available for the remainder of the match. The Black Caps are already without several key players in this series-deciding encounter.
