Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is on the verge of making his India debut in the opening T20I against Ireland. At 15 years and 90 days, he could surpass Sachin Tendulkar and Shefali Varma as India's youngest cricketer. He trained with the team in Belfast, batting in open nets alongside senior players.

Footage from the nets indicates Sooryavanshi may open the innings with Sanju Samson, ahead of Abhishek Sharma. Sharma, a left-hander, had a strong IPL but was seen batting later in the net session. The team's top order appears set, but the youngster's inclusion seems likely.

India batting coach Sitanshu Kotak declined to confirm the debut, stating that captain Shreyas Iyer and head coach Gautam Gambhir will finalize the playing XI after net sessions. The decision is expected ahead of the match.
