Latham and Conway's Centuries Create History for New Zealand
The openers become the first Kiwi pair to score Test hundreds in England during the third Test at Trent Bridge.

Tom Latham and Devon Conway produced a record-breaking performance on the opening day of the third Test against England at Trent Bridge. Both left-handers scored centuries, sharing an unbroken double-century stand that put New Zealand in a commanding position after winning the toss.
Latham's 17th Test hundred made him the first New Zealand captain in 22 years to score a Test century on English soil, while Conway notched his ninth. Their partnership became the first instance of a New Zealand opening pair both reaching three figures in a Test innings in England, joining an elite group of opening pairs from India, Australia, South Africa, and West Indies.
The duo also crossed 2,000 runs together as an opening pair in Test cricket, becoming the first New Zealanders to do so. Their stand has already surpassed the previous best for any New Zealand opening pair in Tests, underlining their dominance on a flat pitch prepared for the series decider.
