Kuldeep Yadav's IPL Journey Across Four Teams
The left-arm wrist-spinner has represented Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, and will now play for Lucknow Super Giants.

Kuldeep Yadav, India’s premier left-arm wrist-spinner, was recently traded from Delhi Capitals to Lucknow Super Giants in a high-profile deal involving Rishabh Pant. This move marks his fourth IPL franchise, as he gears up to play his home games at Ekana Stadium, his home ground in Uttar Pradesh.
Kuldeep began his IPL career with Mumbai Indians in 2012 as a 17-year-old, but did not get a game due to the presence of senior spinners. He then joined Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014, winning the title that year, but had to wait until 2016 for his debut. He became a regular for KKR until injuries and Varun Chakaravarthy's emergence led to his release after the 2020 season.
At Delhi Capitals from 2022 to 2026, Kuldeep flourished under Rishabh Pant’s captaincy, taking 72 wickets in 63 matches at an economy of 8.24. After a tough 2025 season, his trade to LSG offers a fresh start, with the spin-friendly Ekana pitch expected to boost his wicket-taking ability.
