Ganguly Reveals Chappell Sought KKR Reunion

Sourav Ganguly made a stunning revelation about his former rival Greg Chappell on the AddaGB podcast. The former India captain said that in 2011, while he was captain of Kolkata Knight Riders, he received an email from Chappell expressing interest in coaching the franchise with Ganguly as captain.

Ganguly admitted he was shocked to see the email, thinking he was still dreaming, but he decided not to respond. He stated that he hardly replies to people who are not honest, referencing their strained past. Chappell had played a key role in Ganguly's removal as India captain in the mid-2000s.

Interestingly, Ganguly was released by KKR before the 2011 IPL season and subsequently joined Pune Warriors India. This revelation adds another chapter to the contentious relationship between the two cricketing figures.
