KKR and RR Eye Hardik Pandya for IPL 2027 Trade
Mumbai Indians skipper attracts interest from multiple franchises as trading window opens.

Kolkata Knight Riders have reportedly initiated talks with Mumbai Indians to acquire Hardik Pandya ahead of IPL 2027, according to sources. The all-rounder, who has captained MI since 2024, could be traded either for a player or an all-cash deal. KKR, facing captaincy concerns with Ajinkya Rahane, view Pandya as a potential leader.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals are also in the race, offering young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal in a swap deal. However, the Royals view Riyan Parag as their long-term captain, which might complicate negotiations. Pandya's tenure at MI has been mixed, with the team failing to reach playoffs in two of three seasons under his leadership.
Both KKR and RR are keen to strengthen their squads for the next season, with Pandya's all-round abilities and experience making him a prime target. No official confirmation has been made, but trading activity is expected to heat up as franchises prepare for IPL 2027.
