Virat Kohli Cleared for England ODIs After Fitness Test

Virat Kohli has been given the green light to play in the upcoming ODI series against England. The veteran batsman underwent a fitness evaluation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, following a hamstring injury that sidelined him from the Afghanistan series.
Kohli suffered a rare tendon tear in the IPL 2026 final while playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The injury, a distal semimembranosus tendon tear near the back of the knee, required rehabilitation and forced him to miss the previous ODI assignment.
According to reports, Kohli has now cleared the fitness test and received medical approval to rejoin the squad. His availability provides a major boost for India as they prepare to face England in the ODI series.
