Three potential trade swaps between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals could reshape their squads ahead of IPL 2027.
Amid reports of a direct swap between Hardik Pandya and Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals are exploring additional trades. Mumbai finished ninth in IPL 2026, while Rajasthan reached Qualifier 2.
One proposed swap involves Quinton de Kock moving to RR to replace Jaiswal at the top, while young pacer Kwena Maphaka joins MI, who seek to rejuvenate their bowling attack. de Kock's inconsistency saw him benched last season, and RR would gain an experienced opener. Maphaka, currently surplus at Rajasthan, could bolster MI's pace core.
Such deals would address key weaknesses for both franchises as they plan for IPL 2027.
