Joe Root Joins Sachin Tendulkar in 14000 Test Runs Club

Joe Root achieved a historic milestone during the second Test against New Zealand at The Oval, joining Sachin Tendulkar as the only batsmen to score 14000 Test runs. Root entered the match needing just two runs to reach the landmark after being dismissed for 32 in the first innings.

He reached the mark early in England's second innings, becoming the second batter ever to do so. Root now sits second on the all-time Test run-scorers list behind Tendulkar, ahead of Ricky Ponting, Jacques Kallis, and Rahul Dravid.
