Royal Challengers Bengaluru CEO Rajesh Menon has confirmed that Virat Kohli is expected to play for the franchise for at least four more years, possibly until 2030. This commitment could create selection headaches during the next mega auction, as teams can retain only a maximum of six players.

One player whose spot may be at risk is Devdutt Padikkal. The left-handed batsman has had an inconsistent stint with RCB, with standout seasons in 2020 and 2021 but struggling after being traded away and later returning.
