Bangladesh will be without senior stars Litton Das and Taskin Ahmed for the upcoming T20I series against Zimbabwe, as both players have been granted permission to participate in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) instead. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) issued No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) for the pair, along with Mehidy Hasan, Hasan Mahmud, and Shakib Al Hasan, to feature in the LPL.

Litton Das, who is recovering from a muscle tear injury, is expected to be fit for the one-off Test against Zimbabwe in June before heading to Sri Lanka to represent Galle Marvels. Taskin Ahmed will also miss the T20I leg but may return for the ODI series, pending selection. In the LPL, Taskin will join Jaffna Kings alongside Shakib Al Hasan.

The development leaves Bangladesh's T20I squad significantly weakened for the three-match series, which will be held in Bulawayo as part of a multi-format tour starting June 28.
