Gill and Kishan Fit for Final ODI, Arshdeep to Rest
India confirm both players available for dead rubber in Chennai as assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate provides fitness updates.

India have received a clean bill of health for captain Shubman Gill and wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan ahead of the third ODI against Afghanistan in Chennai on June 20. Assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate confirmed at the pre-match press conference that both players are fully fit after minor issues in the second ODI.
Gill suffered severe cramps in the previous match but has recovered fully. Kishan sustained a shoulder niggle in Lucknow but has recovered well after batting. All-rounder Nitish Reddy, who missed the second game with soreness, is also fit and available for selection as India look to groom him as a potential Hardik Pandya replacement for the 2027 World Cup.
However, left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh, who has taken five wickets in the series, is likely to be rested for the dead rubber. ten Doeschate indicated that India plan to make changes to manage workloads, with Arshdeep and one batter expected to sit out.
